This whole Repblican budget fiasco has me giddier than I've been in quite some time. The stark contrast in leadership, competence and class is stunning. Yes, the country faces some of it's most seriuos crises in generations, but we're in competent hands and I have faith not just in O but in the true spirit, gumption and ideals of the American people to lead once again. And laugh once again.

1. It's lovely, yes,

but we also have to stay on our elected representatives to support our President. I wrote to my Democratic Senators and my Democratic Congressman, reminding them all that I want them to back our President's 2010 budget, that if I'd wanted a Republican to represent me, I'd have voted for one.

We have to hound them. These fucking "conservaDems," one of whom is one of my Senators - Mark Warner - are pissing me off..................

I really think things are going to be ok. Obama is going to get things done. The Republicans are proving to be so incompetent that they will not be able to stop him from doing what needs to be done.

5. I am having fun, especially when KO's show comes on -

but, honestly, I'm having trouble believing the GOPigs are as stupid and lost as they seem to be. I mean, I know they're a mess, and I know they're without structure, agenda, leaders, discipline, integrity, competence, or morals.

But they've always been like that.

Watching that Boner Budget Bust tonight was about the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. It's as if Mel Brooks decided to write a movie about Washington, and this was his opening scene. I mean, I've been in this city a long, long time, but I've never seen something quite that bad.

What I'm enjoying is how OUR PRESIDENT OBAMA is bypassing all the rules and traditions - observing, of course, the important ones, like his stop at Arlington Cemetery yesterday - and going straight to the people. The inside-the-Beltway crowd simply cannot get a grip on him, and that's driving them insane. Meanwhile, the people are really loving him and backing what he's trying to do.

I knew I'd love it when Obama won.

I had no idea I'd love it quite this much................
