The Huffington Post is becoming more like a tabloid than a valid news source

I know, they are THE source for 'news' for many of you, but I just find the format difficult, and almost like Drudge on crack.

Not my cup of Jack Daniels. DU or BuzzFlash, my choice for up to the hour news (other than MSNBC on line).

I'M JUST SAYIN. (So there).

I can't imagine posting on a 'news' site like there or Americablog, Kos, etc. It is just a 'trick' to get you to stay longer in hops of reading one of their ads (in my humble opinion).

I can't stand the other Condi, but my name is similar and it's hard to keep track of usernames/passwords, etc. on websites that I read. I was never figuring I would ever weigh in on this site, I just was a monitor for years and it was only the last 6 months or so that I've been posting anything here. So please don't judge me for my poor choice of a name.

I have posted a few opinions here and have engaged in some intelligent as well as some frustrating debate, and I am so impressed with so many people here. Frankly I am just honored that you even noticed my response, as I am a fan of yours. I will take this as my Welcome to DU. I am a 60's child, civil rights activist, general troublemaker, who spent this whole last year working to get Obama elected. I have my issues I can be prickly about, but I am generally a decent human being.

for people (much like myself) who want a SUMMARY of the news, not volumes of content that is unnecessary or superfluous.

I think they represent the future of news magazines online. Some stuff is over the top, but if that brings in lots of readers who are exposed to their progressive political bent, I'm OK with that.
