Edited on Fri Mar-27-09 07:22 PM by blueinindiana
GM and Chrysler are expected to get more money from the government but the bond holders and the unions once again have to pay the price.

The Labor Unions, what is left of them in this country always seem to have to bare the biggest burden.

I assume unions whatever clout they used to have must be totally exhausted and siding with greedy executives always seems to be the safe political bet no matter who is in the White House.

None of these executives from any of these companies have had to take any significant cut in pay or anything.

Companies piss all over union contracts everyday in this country but when it comes to a an Executive contract it is ironclad.

Sadly many Unions members vote for the very same assholes who started this crap in the 80's.

I have no answer for this, voting doesn't seem to work no matter whom gets in its basically the same economically speaking.

5. So are they going to set their pay permanently lower too?
Edited on Fri Mar-27-09 08:25 PM by blueinindiana
I mean the unions have to make permanent concessions on everything, executives only have to do it for a certain window of time.

Does GM have to make their compensation "inline" with foreign manufactures the way labor has to do?

Ever heard of not being a smart ass?

the intricacies of labor contracts so I can't answer your question. I seem to have heard something about not being a smart ass, but I don't remember what it was.
