Who watched Olbermann and is now watching Maddow? Thoughts?
Not a lot of love being shown tonight. Mainly about Pakistan and Afghanistan policy. And use of "Homeland". One of them played a clip of an Obama speech and a Bush speech .... same words.

A pattern starting?

So it's official. Time to throw his ass under the bus.

We did it to everyone else, why not him.

2. Did you watch all of it? Because I didn't get what you are getting,
beyond Obama using Bush Rhethoric for the hawks, but having a very different strategy which Rachel seem to appreciate.

In otherwords, more time is needed to judge this....but for now, the signs are much better than they were the day before today.

3. Actually when she was talking to Brezenski (guessing at the spelling)
He said the administration is doing the right thing.

Something he said that was interesting in reply to critics saying that this will be Obama's Vietnam, Brezenski said, "Vietnam and Iraq were wars of choice, Afghanastan was a direct response to 9/11"!

13. Yes, but it was the wrong response.
It automatically elevated bin Ladin to the status of head of state. Right move if you need a large enemy because the Soviet Union no longer exists, bad response to terrorism.

8. I only caught bits and pieces of both
Edited on Fri Mar-27-09 09:03 PM by NNN0LHI
But as far as I am concerned the way Olbermann and Maddow criticize Obama is completely fair.

Its all constructive criticism without any cheap shots intermixed with coverage of things he has done right.

I think Obama can only learn and improve himself by watching both shows.

Nothing the matter with that.

24. Not sure what the truth is..
but it was interesting the way she had Bush and Pres. Obama mouth the very same identical words about the war - seems we will be at some kind of war for a very long time, and all the troops won't be home in 11 months or whatever was promised. And Billy Crystal and the other 2 guys in the new neocon group praised Obama's speech today. Don't remember if Rachel used the word, "praised," but it was a word that indicated their approval.

I stand with Dean too. Signed up & pledged donation.
Hope many more sign up.
