its the execution,stupid!
Even the best intentioned, best motivated proposals will be inevitably turned against by the public unless the public is certain it is well administered.
Your intent will be buried under story after story of the waste and the absurd.

R U listening Mr. President

1. Why do you keep posting these blurbs with no context...
no links, no detail, just inflammatory rhetoric? It is annoying.

I'd rather think for my self thank you very much?

The context you seek is all around you, open your eyes and you'll see it.

5. Obviously, you can't
Given that you can't seemingly express yourself with anything other than rhetoric, nor anything to support your opinions. Frankly, it comes across as intentional inflammatory posting with no other purpose than to disrupt.

11. You should take some hints from ThomWV or others that
try to help you form a cogent thought and express as formed opinion.

7. Operator error - deleted

Original statement: "It is not possible for any opinion to ever have context."

Should have read: " It is not possible for any emotion to ever have context."

10. If no opinion can have context, it can not have justification nor
clarity.... Just ridiculous positing

8. Think through what you said - its wrong.
Edited on Sun Mar-29-09 08:28 AM by ThomWV
You're trying, and that's more than many bother to do.

Let me share something with you if its not too pretentious for me to do it. You always need to be careful to watch for a couple of simple problems when you are arranging your thoughts. You missed one of them with your statement and its what causes it to fail. OK, here's your problem. You've created a 'non sequitur' which is to say your sequence is wrong and it destroys your argument.

Specifically: People will turn against proposals, but proposals are statements of intention, they are not acts. You say the reason the proposals will be turned against is poor administration, but it is programs (acts) that result from proposals (intentions) that are administered, not the proposals themselves. So to say that proposals will be turned against because of the bad administration of something that will result from the proposal but has not happened yet (on edit) is the error.

9. Thank you for trying to see what I'm saying
its not too hard to find a voter who is certain no matter what the gov't undertake it will screw it up in some fashion.
This view is far more pervasive than anyone here at DU ever admits.

To my eyes its THE highest hurdle for Obama to get over if he is to succeed.
