What got planted in that White House vegetable garden?
If they planted brussells sprouts, then I am OUTTA here,

HOW DARE THEY?

I don't like brussels sprouts. I can barely stand cabbage. But these runt cabbages?

He Better Fix This RIGHT FUCKING NOW.

Come Clean!

60 days in and we have THIS to worry about??????

What got planted and who knew the list of seeds before they were sown?

The above, posted in view of the recent tone of things, is satirical ..... in case you've taken leave of your sense of humor.

15. It's early.
Greens bolt and go to seed when it heats up. I predict that some other things will replace the lettuce in a couple of months.

17. That looks like it's just the winter garden
Most of the plants there, with the exception of some of the herbs prefer cooler weather. The lettuces, cilantro and cabbage family crops all bolt in the heat. I think I saw that there's another patch for the heat-loving crops, like tomatoes, peppers and melons. And, basil.

Steamed then lightly pan braised in red wine and a touch of olive oil.

Thanks for reminding me to pick some up at the grocery store this afternoon.

16. My father in law's recipe for brussels sprouts...
... (via my wife, I never met him)

Remove outer leaves and cut cross in base

Bring 3 cup water with 1 tbps butter to a boil

Boil for 5 minutes

Toss it all in the garbage disposal, and get something else to eat :)

Actually - I like brussels sprouts!

18. My daughter tried serving them to her kids with cheese sauce on them
And the kids told her to never ruin brussels sprouts that way again. Serve them plain with a wee bit of butter, they begged.
The grands love their veggies.

Long ago, when thye were young, my girls were caught by me arguing over broccoli one time. One girl told another, "don't hog the broccoli, leave some for me".

22. yep, nekkid brussel sprouts are the best
Had a cat that LOVED them. The other cats never got a taste. She lived to a ripe old age. New cat LOVES them too, so I figure she plans to live long enough to bury me.
