11. Initially I admit I was very worried about another attack
But with so many level headed people on this site (you among them), my nerves were soon calmed.

2. My uncle and I immediately agreed that the whole scenario reminded us of
the burning of the Reichstag in Berlin which in turn gave Hitler the ability to get the legislature to pass his version of the PATRIOT Act, called the Enabling Act.

4. I still wonder how close we came to global annihilation.
I thought for sure he was going to seize it as his excuse to start dropping nukes.

5. Something else
But I can't say it here. Which is fine. Some people would get po'd if I did. So I'll just hold back.

I can say that I was worried about what happened to our military since it failed to stop the 'attack'. But that's all I will say.

8. I was more worried about Bush's grab for power and the inability
of Congress and or the American people to do anything about it. Also troubling me is that they invaded Iraq instead of the country that gave us the hijackers.

9. I wasn't really big and all informed in politics and all.. but as I sat there
watching the towers burn along side my roommate, I silently thought, "what have you done you murderous fuck; George Bush; what have you done?" AND that was well before I knew as much as I know now about that disater of a family.

13. Since from the moment I saw the plane hit the 2nd tower on TV I was sure in my gut that bushco
had some kind of hand in it, I only worried about what else bushco would do.

23. I was still in grad school in Wash DC at the time, and foreign grad
students quietly expressed the same thoughts. I didn't really question the attacks until all the OBL video tapes started coming out. He was carting along some pretty sophisticated equipment as he moved from cave to cave...

16. Immediately after 9-11 I was worried about more planes.
'cause I was living in SF then.
Few days after 9-11 I started picking up on the phoniness of Bush's behavior, and was still wondering why he had been sitting in the school for so long; things were not adding up.
Up until 9-11, I had not been focusing at all on politics, had stopped all that after 1980.
Bush got me nosy again. Nothing about the aftermath of 9-11 made sense.
Attorney gate got me real interested in politics again.

And look how much we have learned by now....while the hits still keep coming.

19. In the weeks and months after 9/11,
I waited for reasonable explanations for the nearly free-fall collapse of the 3 WTC buildings and the absence of plane wreckage in Pennsylvania and on the Pentagon lawn.

By 2004, I stopped waiting for an explanation that would exonerate the Bush/Cheney gang and did some research myself. That's when I started to live without hope for democracy in America.

24. The option I would have chosen wasn't listed...
although I do understand that not every situation/opinion can be accounted for.

Anyway, I wasn't so much worried about how Bush would react to it as I was worried about how a new attack would be used to push even MORE restraints upon us through the use of tactics that would probably have worked on terrified Americans.

I was afraid of terrified Americans more than anything...

The 2000 election was stolen, the thought of Bush having anything to do with 9/11 never crossed my mind. I was at work all day that day and listened to the radio to find out what was going on. It wasn't till I found sites like "Where is the plane at the Pentagon" Loose Change and re watching the collapses that convinced me that this was an inside job. And then the video of Donald Rumsfeld coming out and when he announced that the Pentagon misplaced 2.3 Trillion dollars on 09/10/01 that cinched it. And wouldn't you know with Obama's new budget they are going to be 2.3 Trillion over budget. Things that make you go Hmmmmmmm!
