Paulson: The Bush Admin Prevented The Economy's "Collapse" (WTF?)
Paulson laments not getting more ‘kudos’ for saving the economy.

hank.gifIn an interview with the Wall Street Journal, former treasury secretary Hank Paulson said the Bush administration prevented the economy’s “collapse” but seemed to lament the fact that the public hasn’t given the previous administration credit for it:

After he (and Mr. Geithner) pushed taxpayer capital onto the banks — but before a single dollar had actually been dispersed — people were asking why the banks weren’t lending more, he protests. And no Treasury secretary gets credit for avoiding catastrophe. “We succeeded in keeping the financial system from collapse,” he says, “but people were unhappy because we didn’t prevent a recession. It’s hard to get kudos for what didn’t happen.”

1. Well if you consider the economy the survival of Goldman Sachs
and all their thieving management, Paulson would be correct.

2. It's hard to cheer the firemen
when you notice the cans of gasoline and the road flares in their firetruck.

3. he did. He falsely propped it up with phony money, shady accounting, and other schemes
just hoping to limp out of his presidency before it became painfully apparent that the economy was as bad as it trully was/is.

As soon as Obama won, those at the Fed, Treasury, and high places in big corporations who had ties to the bushies, just let it flop.

I saw this coming well before last year. Give Obama a lemon, convince people that it is Obama's lemon and let the repukes run as the party of fiscal respons- cough, I cant even think it. We just have to wait before a Newt Part Deux shows up as he did in Clinton's first term.

5. Someone should tell these BushCo clowns that they
Have the right to shut the f--k up and that anything they say can and will be used against them in court, whether that court is here in the United States or someplace else - oh say...the Netherlands.

10. One could also say the Bush Administration is RESPONSIBLE for allowing
the economy to come so close to collapse. Their "corporations can do no wrong" attitude that led to no oversight, reckless risk taking, and CEOs motivated by personal greed brought our economy to the brink of extinction.

Not something to brag about, I wouldn't think...but they have so little that they can take credit for, I guess this is as good as it gets for them.

BUSH ADMINISTRATION = FAILURE

REPUBLICAN PARTY = HYPOCRITES

GOP VALUES = BULLSHIT
