Report: Iraqi gays slated for execution this week
Edited on Mon Mar-30-09 04:16 PM by ccharles000
This situation is beyond horrific; unlike Jamaica, there's no boycott to affect Iraq's state persecution, arrest, and execution of LGBTs. What will our state department say about this? (UK Gay News):
More than 100 prisoners in Iraq are facing execution - and many of them are believed to have been convicted of the 'crime' of being gay, the UK-based Iraqi-LGBT group revealed this afternoon.
According to Ali Hili of Iraqi-LGBT, the Iraqi authorities plan to start executing them in batches of 20 from this week. There is, said Mr. Hili, at least one member of Iraqi-LGBT who are among those to be put to death.

And the London-based group, which believes that a total of 128 executions are imminent, is calling on the UK Government, international human rights groups and the United Nations Human Rights Commission in Geneva to intervene "with due speed" to prevent "this tragic miscarriage of justice" from going ahead.

...Most are likely to have been sentenced to death by the Central Criminal Court of Iraq (CCCI), whose proceedings consistently fall short of international standards for fair trial, Mr. Hili said.

Visit the IRAQI LGBT web site for more.

We need to stop sending them so much money if they are going to do this shit.

1. That's some democracy we're spreading.
I feel bad for all of these people. I hope that there is a way to stop the executions. I'll light a candle for these brave souls.

3. "Authorities plan to execute them in batches"
Boy, that's some strange brand of western democracy we exported to Iraq! We really should have packaged up the Jeffersonian version instead of what appears to be a factory second from the Dimwit Wing of the Republican Section. I wonder if Fred Phelps and his band of inbred minions will be on hand for this?

8. This has nothing to do with Democracy. It has more to do with their culture.

9. here is the most interesting thing i have ever discovered about Islam..>>Link>>
http://users.skynet.be/sky50779/mohammed.htm
"snip...According to the hadith Muhammad suffered from a long-lasting disease, which he treated by means of bleeding. He walked as somebody who comes down from a hill. His skin-colour was peculiar, not white, not too tanned, somewhat rosy. His eyebrows were conspicuous. He was sweating heavily, especially when he was receiving revelations. He heard the noise of bells and voices. He had a great appetite and suffered from hunger. Notwithstanding his sexual relations with ten young women, he remained quasi-sterile: one only child after the age of forty years. During his last illness he suffered from intense headaches, losses of consciousness, back- and intestinal pains. He died at the age of 62 years. Psychologically he was known as trustworthy, somewhat retiring and prude. Initially, about at the age of forty years, he was depressed, retiring, and showed a tendency to suicide. He spoke slowly. Most typical were his great hands, dough feeling palms, great feet, a long fleshy nose, well developed ears and a peculiar voice.

These indications suggest that he suffered from acromegaly. This hypothesis allows to explain almost all details found in the hadith. ...snip"

as for the Murderous flap about a depiction of the Prophets face.. there are many, the condition of Acromegaly can result in serious disfigurement of the face.. thus the Veil..? thus the proabition..?
http://www.zombietime.com/mohammed_image_archive/islamic_mo_face_hidden/

so maybe it was all just an Halucination from a brain tumor..? all the death and tragidy that religion defiles man's actions against others with.
