My neighbor has gone through a million dollars of insurance

and will probably not live past this summer. She will leave two young boys and their dad. It is so very sad

3. Good friend of mine has a similar situation...
His wife had cancer (she was just 29) and his company life insurance paid well over a million dollars to try and save her,
plus he remortgaged their home, cashed in all of their life insurance, borrowed from friends and family, and held
fund raisers at his company... all in vain, she died less than a year after being diagnosed.

Now he is in real danger of losing his home... the re-mortgage went to a 0 down ARM (probably sub-prime)... and he can't make
the adjusted payments... and there have been layoffs at his company, probably 30% of the workforce.

Sigh.

during late pregnacny.

Kid was born ok-he is getting married this summer

but she only last 2.5 years.

amazing bills

I was extremely lucky that she was covered by 2 major med plans at the time.
Just a freak thing.....

when they burned out medicare kicked in.

Her first hospital bill was something over 100k
and that was in 1984 dollars......

Still miss her......
