How will product quality and services be regulated so that there's more quality control, fewer recalls, better made products, et cetera?

Isn't there a globalized set of regulations that are pro-human or something?

3. The problem in China is that they only get those guys
after they've hurt a lot of people. In that case, he killed a lot of babies in China, doubly tragic because of all the hoops families have to jump through to be allowed to produce a baby.

China needs to set up routine quality control labs for food and drugs as well as surprise inspections for factories that produce them. It's the only thing that keeps these dirtbags from cutting corners and hurting people.

Until they are willing to do that, they'll continue to have scandal after scandal, execution after execution.

5. If We Are Bringing In Chinese Manufactured Product To This Country.......
those companies that put their names on it should be responsible and 1. set up product specifications pre-manufacture and 2. test product before accepting it for sale in this country to see that it meets with their specifications. Then if product gets in circulation in this country that has a problem - those companies that brought it in would be responsible.

Not saying that the Chinese shouldn't set up routine QC labs and do their own testing - but - ultimately the U.S. company that promotes these Chinese products needs to be held responsible.

Same thing with the recent 'peanut butter' recalls. Many companies used the same manufacturer to make their peanut butter. They put their names on it. Again if they were doing their job - this peanut butter would have never made it on the market. Any company putting their name on a label and passing off as their own product - needs to make sure that the manufacturer of 'their' product is functioning under proper manufacturing conditions. That means they should do their own inspections of the company. Again - have product specifications that this manufacturer has to meet. Test every lot of product that is made before it hits the store shelves and reject anything that is not meeting the specifications.

This is the only way we'll be protected. Unfortunately - safety and health are not the concern of these companies. The concern is profit. Get the cheapest product made - we can put the highest mark-up on and make the most money on.

We Americans need to start demanding more than just price - but when that happens cost goes up to all. All of a sudden - outsourcing products from other countries isn't so profitable anymore - when one has to consider the cost of doing all the right things in order to assure consumer safety.

I am taking on a client that has a new product that he wants to introduce. He started talking about making the product in China. I indicated to him to not get greedy. Using a U.S. based manufacturer to make his product makes more sense. He will have more control over the quality and communication using a U.S. based company.

It just upsets me - when people get greedy at the expense of quality and safety.

4. Hell no. Companies don't care about any of that stuff any more.
As long as "Kevin" Vepershatenpetty can muster enough English to apologize most profusely for your inconvenience, all is well.
