'Green Death' soccer coach resigns
Edited on Tue Mar-31-09 05:39 PM by Ex Lurker
This was one of those things I got in my email and figured it was fake, but it turned out to be true. I'm as yet undecided what to think about this. Some of the stuff could be interpreted as RW-speak, OTOH, his heart seems to be in the right place about helping the kids improve themselves on and off the field, and the email clearly was tongue in cheek.

1. um ... do you really want 6 and 7 year olds out for blood in a game?
I mean, some bemoan the idea of "having a ball game where nobody keeps score", but when they're still a bit too young to really benefit from the competitive spirit, can't the kids just have some fun?

After they start getting good, then point out that the score matters ...

I have a memory of really enjoying gym class when we did square dancing (grade school). Then we started getting into the mechanics of it, and I lost the fun of the square dancing ...

3. That's a pretty funny e-mail. The "Michael Vick pitbull" crack was in poor taste,
but I'd give this guy at least one game's worth of a chance at coaching my kids (if I had any)...
