Ted Stevenson? THEY took him out. Why?

3. The prosecution originated with a Republican Justice Department
and was pushed by that department, which monkeyed with the evidence against him. I find it peculiar.

5. i think they hoped to screw it up so badly that he would get off
but the timing, and perhaps the judge, just did not work for them. that's just my opinion . . . why would a hard line right wing justice department let one of their own go?

7. I've been wondering the same thing.
Why would a Bush administration go after Stevens? Maybe the prosecutors messed up the case on purpose. Maybe they were just incompetent. Some things are unintentional. There were a lot of incompetent people in the Bush administration. If they start going after all the prosecutorial abuses in the Bush Justice Department, our federal prisons will be a little emptier in a lot of places, I suspect. The Holder Justice Department should be spending its time prosecuting the Bush administration criminals.
