5. Rachel at 36
At thirty six years of age, Rachel Maddow has claimed the top spot as the best new personality on television - cable or otherwise. Not only is she really really smart, but she's also really really witty (because she's so smart!) Listening to her on radio was always good, but this television stuff is off the charts, in' it? She has charmed even the king snake Buchanan, among others. First we have Keith and then Rachel then Keith again then Rachel again - is this not the new golden age of television? Answering the old question of with whom you'd like to have dinner - Rachel, Eugene Robinson, and Keith. As anyone really talked her down yet? On the more serious side, she also is a huge thorn in the side of those homophobes on the right who think that "the gays" can be contagious and anyone who touches them can instantly become one of "the gays". Now that's comedy Rush! His panties must just twist over Rachel.
