NBC Nightly News says this is a ...."Car Sales Crises"...
If you had a good job and lots of money (wages) would you buy a new car now?

I would. I would love to buy a new Ford King Ranch F-150. But I don't have a job or money.

Any hard core Republican worth their weight will tell you that if you don't have money.. they will not sell you a car. Gee? Ya Think? (Investment advice courtesy of Suzy Ormon on NBC)

So is this a consumer crises or a job crises? What is NBC News trying to do here.. to convince us that things aren't so bad?

I'm trying to figure out the spin....

1. I have a great job that doesn't pay much money
But if I had lots of money I'd spend it on something other than a new car.

I didn't watch the news segment so I have no idea what spin they were attempting.

2. I'd never buy a new car again...but that's me.
My last car was purchased used. 5 years old, 54k miles, near-mint condition.

It cost me $21,500.

I have the original window sticker....$78,300.

.
I've bought new cars before, but never again.

4. Im probably leaning that way.. I'll never spend $20K again on a new car...
..let alone 40 or 50 for a new SUV.

Gas is back up over over $2.. but you cant buy a truly fuel efficient car in the United States? (60+ mpg).

I read that in Europe you can by a 4 cylinder tubo-diesel with a 6 speed that gets 60+ mpg.. but our CONgress will never approve it here.

Mahindra (made in India) 4 cyl 150 hp Diesel.
