47. KO said they're moving David to the afternoon...
And that he'll still sub for KO when "they let me out of here..." Rachel congratulated both Big Ed and David, but it doesn't sound like a good thing for David, to me...

I have missed Big Ed, though, used to listen to him on AAR at noon, weekdays, in my neck-of-the-woods. Is he still going to be on the radio? And will he still broadcast from Fargo? Can't imagine that he'd give up either...

8. As we say back in the old neighborhood -
"FUCKING A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

MSNBC just took a HUGH leap over to the left.

A progressive with his own show?

Good. That hideous David Shuster show will be gone, and, with it - I hope - Mrs. Greenspan, Harold Ford, Pat Buchanan, and various and sundry dinosaur suckasses.............

This is really great!

23. There's a death slot -
Mrs. Greenspan currently has that, right? I don't watch enough to know for sure.

Who watches 3 to 5?

Well, besides us.

Sometimes.

When we're bored, or don't want to do something, or have a cold, or AMC isn't showing "The Godfather, I and II". (They were on again yesterday!)

I can't stand the lot of them. Harold Ford, like, WTF? Why does he have any kind of credibility?

And why does Buchanan keep rising from the dead? It's starting to annoy me..............

50. I have MSNBC on most of the time that I'm home...
Just now, it's the third or fourth repeat of "Hardball," which is not my favorite, but they've had regular discussions of the special congressional election in NY-20th, which I've worked very hard on, so it's worth sitting through... :-)

I turn to AMC if I've already seen and heard everything MSNBC has to offer, or if my head is about to explode...

But you're right, LOL. No wonder I feel depressed much of the time... :-(

25. No, I don't think he's pretty good -
I remember how he went on and on about "the impending Karl Rove indictment," and should have shut up when even I could see that no indictments were coming down. That was shameful pandering to the good people who desperately wanted such action taken, and he just blew it.

Stuff like that bothers me, and stays with me.

Schultz, though - holy cow! What a big move for MSNBC!

Now, when the GOPigs squeal about the "liberal media," they'll at least be a bit closer to the truth. Not much, but a bit.........

30. The difference I see between the two is that you know where Ed will come down on an issue
With Schuster, not so much. I do like his Hypocrisy Watch and expect he'll keep that segment.

I listen to Ed's radio program occasionally during the week and I'm not often surprised by his stand. I like that he doesn't shy away from being challenged by people to his left when Ed is in the center on an issue.

At first I didn't trust him. I do trust Mike Malloy's sincerity when he alleges that Ed is a right winger in disguise. However I don't let Mike make up my mind for me. Over the course of the campaign, Ed was solidly in Obama's corner. There weren't many who were as loyal every single day. And he's not afraid to call Obama out now that he's been elected and making policy.

That all adds up to winner for my taste. The decision to make the program's focus be kitchen table issues is clean and fresh and old fashioned at the same time. Look out Fox, CNN and President Obama, too. I'll be watching.

32. I agree, and I
liked his loyalty to Obama.

But, what I like most about him is that he knows the working class, and has a solid blue-collar mentality coupled with a definite pro-labor bias. All the things I happen to embrace.

It just feels like someone I grew up with has finally gotten his own show, and that's very wonderful.

It's going to flip out the Faux News folks.

Oh, let the games begin. "Serf's UP!"

36. Oh yeah, for sure!
Fox doesn't have a working guy Ed equivalent who can take him on.

O'Reilly's attempt at populism, who's looking out for you, has given way to Bill's defending himself full time against Keith and the MSNBC menace in general. I doubt Hannity has had a callous on his hands since he gave up wanking and Glenn Beck is too busy working on his a "newsavangalism" schtick. Any day now he'll be showing up with pink hair and a tie to match.

Fox now has it's hands full. I predict that Ed's numbers may one day eclipse Keith's even though KO remains my favorite. He's the trooper who hung in all alone for years.

We'll all find reasons to disagree with him. For you, it might be his style. That's okay. But listen to what he says. He's kinda moderate on some issues, but mostly he's a solid liberal. I especially like his stances on labor and unions, and on health care.

I just don't enjoy his broadcasting style. It's the same "problem" I have with Randi Rhodes.

I agree that he is a MUCH needed voice on labor and unions.
