President Obama just called on Chip Reid and said, "Chip, my heart goes out to you. I just heard about it."

Reid thanked the President.

I'm guessing some sort of family death or something? I did a quick search and couldn't find anything. I know some people will say this is not news; I'm just curious to know what they were referring to. Anyone know?
