Roskam defeated Duckworth in a very, very close race for Henry Hyde's old seat in IL. He is a staunch RR Rethug of the very worst order, despicable towards women's rights.

I'd bet that any resistance from Burr stems from some association with Roskam who detests "uppity" women like Duckworth. His disdain for her, and her accomplishments, was palpable during the campaign. He's a neanderthal of the first order who sees women vets like Tammy to be some kind of despicable refuse.

Look to some kind of joint legislation, or some other kind of shitty politicking to explain his blocking Tammy Duckworth.
