Not at all bad - I enjoyed Bill Maher tonight - including New Rules
-----though he had on a despicable Repuke (David Frum) and a wannabe named Salam, a journalist,
along with Sam Donaldson and Carol Leifer a comedic writer with whom Bill grooved very nicely ----
it all made for an entertaining show with lots of laughs and just enough edge to keep it topical and entertaining.

I enjoyed Sam Donaldson being put off by profanity, laughing and cringing at suggestive references, and showing his liberal self.

OH yeah, there was a lead in interview with Joe the Wurzelbacher plumber.
Bill kindly but thoroughly skewered him, the intellects living in a parallel Universe and never could meet this life time.

I had fun with it today.

1. I saw the first half of a show with all those same people
but it was so boring I turned it off after about 28 minutes. Either it got hell of a lot better in the lat half hour or we saw different shows.

2. Sure looks like I was by myself enjoying it tonight. Maybe just needed to chill
and when it made me laugh and get some having my feet up rest I vegged out happy.
Or maybe I have no taste, don't know what's good or bad, and need educating.
WHATEVER:shrug:

4. I thought it was pretty dull. Bill has really been half assing it this year.
He hasn't been as assertive as he used to be and he doesn't seem very informed about the issues he brings up like he used to be.

5. Bill Maher
Will have Gore Vidal on next week. I can't wait. Vidal is a national treasure. :)

7. Bill never really was all that assertive
with his guests, he always booked an assertive liberal voice to do that for him, this season he really hasn't and last night he totally lost control of the conversation.

6. It was better than last few shows
but it still wasn't as good as past seasons. I wish Bill would've been harder on Joe. Every time Joe said, "I'm not here as a Republican...." I wanted to scream YES YOU ARE! I'm glad Bill called him out on the imaginary business he may or may not have owned in the future. Overall, I think Bill actually went a little easy on him.
