At least have the decency to shut the fuck up! Buck McKeon, a congressman who represents the Santa Clarita/Valencia area of California was one of the strongest supporters of Bush and his policies during the last eight years. He pushed the war in Iraq with the fervor of a religious fundamentalist - which he happens to be. He pushed for deregulation, tax cuts for the wealthy and the abolition of all the environmental laws he could get his hands on. Now he and his fellow republican’s have come up with a budget only a sociopathic moron or Dittohead could love. (Yes, I know there’s a lot of overlap between these two groups.) And they just can’t stop lying.
In the video that McKeon uses to illustrate the differences between Obama’s budget and the Republican budget, the graph shows that we will be spending about twice our annual GDP by the year 2040, on government spending alone. The numbers of course are pulled out of the same place many of their statistics come from, Rush Limbaugh’s ass. (Okay, I'm guessing here.)
Now of course McKeon is not even the worst on the right by any means – he has a lot of stiff competition. But he is representative of a group of people who have done tremendous damage to the world’s economy, are responsible for war crimes and the death of a million Iraqis, and yet will not let up for a minute on their quest for power. This group is also made up of TV pundits and RW radio talk show hosts, along with politicians like McKeon.
Please people, just STFU for a little while.
