Which one of these is more likely to do harm to your family?

An attack from a foreign army, a terrorist group or urban violence due to the lack of healthcare, education & jobs?

I believe our government spends too much money on the military, period.

I believe that money invested here on health care, education and jobs would be
BETTER SPENT than on the military; yet, here we go again in Afghanistan.

That is my opinion, now crucify me.

3. Proportionally, we spend more on improving our military than our citizenry.
That's the problem.

4. Doesn't really respond to the issue
Is there no threat from foreign armies because of, or in spite of our military spending?

an attack from a foreign army is less likely, yes your right.

Since that time;however,we have spend more money on improving our military than our citizenry.

Can we agree to that?

10. I don't have the required information to make such a claim
I don't know what percentage of our total tax dollars since then has gone to the military. I don't know what percent of the remaining money spent could be considered "improving our citizenry". I don't know how much of the military spending made American citizens better off (bomb factory workers, soldiers, etc).

You still need to show that absent military spending America would be equally safe from foreign aggression. Otherwise can't show that the spending was unjustified.

5. Agreed, although concentrating on Al Queda might
be wise, and we'll see about that,I believe a great deal of money could be saved in withdrawing our troops from all the stations all over the world. That fortune could be spent on America's needs, border security and so much more.
