The tea baggers came to town!
Well, a few towns over:

http://www.dailylocal.com/articles/2009/04/05/news/srv0000005053295.txt

They even had US and State Reps, who I'll have to contact about their participation, as soon as I figure out what to say.

I think these two bits are particularly telling:

"DiGregiorio's poster read "You are entering a Nobama zone. Mention his name and I'll drop you where you stand.""

"Victory Movement regular Dee Berk of Philadelphia, then began screaming "guilty whites" at the counter demonstrators, even though they were all black."

3. Terrible handling of the Bankster problem? What is wrong with your head?
Edited on Sun Apr-05-09 07:20 AM by TWiley
Jesus herbert walker ronald regan george w bush christ dude, what the fuck is wrong with your head? Mr. Obama did not create this problem, he is fixing it. And it is starting to work.

The dow had the strongest 4 week rally since 1933, and economic recovery ALWAYS begins with the capital markets. If this constitutes the market bottom, then broader recovery will be more apparant in about 3 months.

Jesus fucking crisp dude, try to educate yourself before spouting off like that.

6. The fact that the Banksters are back to getting wealthy isn't what is pissing
those who disagree with this off. The fact they aren't in a federal prison is what is pissing us off.

14. I agree he isn't handling it well but I completely disagree with these teabaggers
They oppose the Stimulus Bill. I do not.

They think socialism is evil. I don't.

They seem focused on what's best for THEM. I am more concerned about our country as a whole.

4. Scratch that. A third grader wrote that sign.

I'd ask him "who encouraged this hateful behavior in you"?

Also, it still begs the question "Where were these people when the Bushes or Reagan was wasting their tax dollars"? It's funny how the "concern gubmint waste" idiots crawl out of the woodwork ONLY when Democrats are presidents. Blowing up brown people and giveaways to the wealthy are perfectly OK, I guess.

7. They came to my area, but the turnout was so bad, it would have been overkill.
Like, 30 libertarian concern trolls at best. It was laughable and their signs were getting rained on.

It's funny how you never saw these people protesting the same thing when Bewsh was doubling the National Debt.

13. Oh, now they're complaining that the number of attendees was under-reported.
In the comments section.

Now maybe they know what it's like.

15. I drove by our local protest and there were maybe 100 people
The media reported 700.

Turned out they got 700 signatures on an online petition. And 600 had RSVP'd on meetup.com.

Damn lazy media.

17. The local Freeper finally checked in:
Check out this lovely bit of madness:

" John Grant participated in an anti-war protest at Walter Reed Army Hospital and gave a speech using large black funeral wreaths as props.

What kind of sick puppy does that to wounded Soldiers.

At that point John Grant is no better than the enemy who would scream "You gonna die GI" in the middle of the night.

Anyone with any integrity would have demanded that the large black funeral wreaths had to go before speaking. Note that Grant spoke anyway.

Grant provides signs to protests that rail againt capitalism, imperialism and militarism. Go to the Communist Party USA website and look at the three major thing they "fight" and Grant and CPUSA are two peas in a pod.

Grant is also one of Jane Fonda's pool boys, a member of Vietnam Veterans Against the War from decades ago, still living in the 60s.

The VVAW held Winter Soldier, a Soviet style show trial where testimony was not under oath and our troops were not permitted to confront their accusers, nor entitled to defend themselves.

Winter Soldier is the source of much of the underserved pain and suffering honorable Vietnam Veterans suffered.

Yet these same VVAW pukes sought out, mentored, supported and organized the Iraq Veterans Againt the War. And lo and behold, the recreated Winter Soldier 2.1. And the basic lie of Winter Soldier was retold, that American troops all committed war crimes because policy made them do it.

Of course no written policy can be found and we just have to than they not under oath word for it.

In all the decades since the 60s/70s, only one Winter Soldier was ever under oath in a court ordered deposition. Under oath, they admitted that the war crime that they "testified" to was not the result of pressure from American policy, but actually a personal act of revenge because a friend had died.

Also under oath, they were asked about the truthfullness of the recurring "Vietnam narrative" of a civilian going o patrol with troops and then skinning a Vietnamese woman alive.

Asked why he didn't believe the story, he answered that the guy telling it was a BS'er.

It wasn't enough for the VVAW to smear their own generation, they had to attack this one too. Thank God that there are people like the CCVM have got the troops' back this time and won't the VVAW and their puppets' lies go unchallenged. "
