Term limits,...
---

...more parties, it doesn't matter.
If the underlying problem of big money "special interests" buying our government is not addressed I don't care how many parties or term limits you have.
The problem remains.
You get a government of the wealthy, by the wealthy, and for the wealthy, only.

That is why I favor publicly funded elections.

1. Publicly funded elections and
free media. 80% of election costs are media related, which in turn nurtures the unhealthy symbiotic relationship between the two.

5. There's no money...
in taking money out of the electoral process.

And it's all about money.

4. We have the opportunity to limit terms currently, but usually fail to

do so.

We read that confidence in our elected officials is a a very low number (this was true last year) but even so there is only about a 10% turnover rate amongst congresspeople, and a portion of that is due to illness, death, or retirement.

We continue to reelect incumbents time after time, all the while complaining what a sorry job they are doing.

6. How often are incumbents (seriously) challenged in the primary?
The incumbent has spent 700 days fundraising. They have franking privileges. They have name recognition. What hope does a challenger usually have? The game is rigged on many levels.
