I just do not get all in a snit about these folks developing nuclear weapons.. The only way to truly stop them is with boots on the ground.. and we will NOT be doing that.. We should just tell them.. look go and play all ya want, but remember IF you DO develop those toys most of the world will simply stop trading with you and if you dare use 1 we have like 10,000 and will make sure you will never use them again.. They just do this to get a raise out of us. We should not raise to take the bait and concentrate on the REAL problems we have and let them know when they grow up and want to join the adults we will welcome them..

1. I agree: The rules of engagement
concerning the nuclear club are clear: Use one, and we kick the shit out of you. And that's pretty reasonable, since in this scenario we could live quite comfortably with Iranian/Korean Nukes - assuming that their leadership is not significantly crazier than ours.

But then again..Iran has this history of Proliferation.. I don't wanna fear monger.. But a Hezbolla-Nuke isn't actually something I'm all that interested in. Think of that scenario.

So for me the point would really be to let them have their Nukes, but work toward an environment in which those states are no longer controlled by the must fundamentalist crazies they've got around there. This would certainly work for Iran, which is for the most part an amiable, educated relatively open society. ( You'll find mullahs there, but you'll find lots of backseat sex too)

2. There are many problems in this world....

Where when you touch it in any way you just make it worse.. the Mullahs use us to stir fear in their people and keep themselves in power ( sound familiar ???).. When they rant and rave.. we should just yawn and move on to real problems.. eventually the Iranians will get tired of their BS and solve the problem for us..

3. As if any nation would attack us
We are 300 million strong, fully armed, completely psychopathic.
Who in their right mind would want to mix it up in the USA?
