Senate Foreign Relations Chair Kerry's Statement On North Korea

Kerry's prescription for North Korea
@ 1:08 pm by Jeremy P. Jacobs

Senate Foreign Relations Chairman John Kerry (D-Mass.) laid out on Sunday what he believes to be the best response to North Korea's missile launch.

Here's Kerry's statement:

“North Korea’s launch of a Taepo Dong missile is a provocative act that calls for a stern, unified response from the members of the Six Party Talks on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. The United States should immediately call on the international community to strictly enforce UN Security Council Resolutions 1718 and 1695. Those resolutions require all nations to restrict North Korea’s ability to acquire the technologies needed to advance its pursuit of weapons of mass destruction and the means to deliver them.

North Korea’s leaders have yet to realize that the only way for them to achieve genuine security is to abandon their pursuit of weapons of mass destruction. North Korea’s present course promises only continued diplomatic isolation and economic malaise. Despite the DPRK’s counterproductive military posturing, the United States, in concert with our friends and allies, will steadfastly and patiently pursue a negotiated resolution to the North Korean nuclear crisis."

1. It never ceases to amaze me that the USA, the only country to have ever used nuclear weapons
.
.
.

and most likely has more nuclear weapons and superior delivery systems than the rest of the World combined,

takes such a righteous attitude on this issue.

USA has bases and weapons all over the Globe.

IN the last decade they have invaded and occupied two countries, and are encroaching on even more.

North Korea is contained, and has no bases or military anywhere else in the World.

China can tromp the DPRK into the ground if they get too disruptive.

Feckadee, let Asia take care of Asia, and the Middle East the Middle East.

I hear the USA has a few problems at home . . . :freak:
