Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr wowed Radio City Music Hall, singing together for the first time in seven years with a star-studded backup band, at a benefit to introduce children to transcendental meditation.

The former Beatles played three songs together, including "I Saw Her Standing There," while Sheryl Crow, Eddie Vedder, Donovan and Beach Boy Mike Love provided the accompaniment.

1. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think of them as "Ex-" Beatles.
To me, they'll always be Beatles.

Maybe "Ex-The-Beatles".

2. Right.
It's kind of like Ali is still The Champ.

4. Just once, I wish they'd dispence with these flabby all-star extraveganzas
and just jam out. Like, my ultimate Beatles reunion would be: Paul on guitar, Ringo on drums and Klaus Voorman on bass. Real simple.

7. Well, neither looked flabby
But if you want to hear oldie jammin', come to the Basin Hotel in Eureka Springs or Uncommon Grounds when Jerry Yester of the Modern Folk Quartet and Lovin' Spoonful is playing. It's great music in a relaxed atmosphere, and Jerry's new songs are great!

6. That's nice
but the heart (John) and soul (George) of that group are no longer on this plane.
