(translated from Italian site)

In a video published on YouTube 4 days ago, the seismologist Giampaolo Giuliani had predicted the earthquake in Abruzzo. But no one has heard

Giampaolo Giuliani is a seismologist who few knew until this morning, but whose name will probably remain in history, even though may not be involved in the salvation of the victims of the earthquake that devastated this night Abruzzo.

Yes, because Giampaolo Giuliani had foreseen what happened last night and had published a video on YouTube to launch the alarm, because no one listened.
In this article you can see the video in question, published four days ago by the researcher of the laboratories of Gran Sasso, where Giuliano said that Italy was hit by a disastrous earthquake.

As video Giuliani was denounced for alarm Procured: earthquakes you can not predict. And what he said had been denied by the authorities. Cos'aveva said Giuliani? An earthquake of 4 on the Richter scale, according to an analysis based on the release of radon gas from the earth, which in most cases heralds the arrival of an earthquake ...

3. Curious though, did he ever predict earthquakes that didn't happen
Call enough alarms and eventually you'll be right, or be vague enough in your predictions and you can claim success.

7. Puts me in mind of Bobby Jindal calling volcano monitoring socialist pork.
Politicians are major dumbasses sometimes. The person who ignored the warning should be convicted.

8. Giuliani was labeled an idiot by the authorities...
Expert Giampaolo Giuliani had noticed a build-up in seismic activity recently and forecast a disastrous quake was imminent.

Authorities failed to heed the warnings, arguing that tremors can’t be predicted with any degree of accuracy. Those raising the alarm were even dubbed “idiots” by Italy’s head of Civil Protection and criticised for spreading panic.

9. Science meets politics and loses, yet again.
The major of the town that fought against the seismologist should lose his job and they should appoint Giuliani to a professor-level post at the local university.
