the people being held captive by Iran. Guess they only count when they are being held captive. Bet we would be whining the same thing if some of our people were being held.

1. Of course
Rules are for those lesser nations who lack nukes. Oh, wait, that would be why Iran wants nukes to begin with. Hmm.

2. The credibility of the "coalition" on the issue of the Geneva
Conventions is now non-existent and the world knows it. Crying alligator tears about the Conventions when it is widely known those same countries have tortured detainees makes both the UK and the US look even more pathetic than they already are, imo.

7. The British government was complaining
about 'disgusting propaganda' with one of the sailors being paraded on Iran TV. I had a good laugh and tought the Irans are learning well from Bush and Blair. After you show bodies of head people, the hanging of a leader of a sovereign country, you have some nerve discussing anything connected with decency.

marley said it best - if you dig one ditch you'd better dig two, one for your brother and one for you. Then there's that great Jamaican proverb: Same knife stick goat, stick sheep.
-----
Bush and Blair destroyed those conventions and until they're both in the Hague on trial, they and their hacks should STFU.

11. Double standards straight from their playbook. But the smoldering embers
that burns the innocent can't be put out with Poodle's whining about what he and bushitler have created on the TV. What are his intentions to create a rally? Oh please...... :puke:

4. Oh. So those musty old conventions aren't just quaint relics anymore?
Well, I'll put up a post-it note on my monitor. Better date it too, because you don't know when it's going to change again. I guess it's like Daylight Savings Time--sometimes it applies sometimes it doesn't.

5. Just be glad the Brits were not waterboarded or tortured
That's what we get for doing it first. All of our soldiers are in danger of being tortured if caught and we cant say a damn thing about it.

6. Didn't Torture Buddy Gonzales comeent about how "quaint" they were?
This is exactly why many of us demanded that the U.S. follow the conventions. Now NO other country has incentive to. Why should they? We don't.
