10. I must have been living under a rock somewhere
I swear I do not remember that story about Chuck Knobloch and Mrs. Olberman (though I do remember Knobloch being a klutzy fielder).

I thought I heard Keith say she died a couple weeks after being diagnosed with cancer.

RIP Mrs. Olbermann.

15. My condolences to KO and his family.
I truly admire his strength and composure tonight. I was a mess (still am some days) when my mom died.

His tribute was very touching.

I think you did your mom proud tonight Keith. My hat is off and my heart goes out to you tonight.

17. All my best to the Olbermanns.
I hope to be able to see the tribute to which you all refer online, but Keith's courage and humanity are a great tribute, in and of themselves.

Godspeed, Mrs. O. Goodnight, and good luck.

22. His mom sounded like a wonderful person
and she raised such a good son, deepest sympathy to the Olbermann family. She was some tough lady, after sustaining an injury of baseball hitting her face.:(

28. I was crying all the way through his tribute
She seemed like a great lady, and very interesting. I remembered the baseball incident at Yankee Stadium.

My mom died suddenly almost 4 months ago. Last year I was so annoyed at Olbermann during the primaries but last night some of the themes were parallel to comments I made in my mom's eulogy. I made sure to keep going and going. Mom loved praise and I wasn't going to short her in that setting.

A few years ago Tiger Woods won the British Open and broke down on the final green. His dad had died two months earlier and I thought it was strange he was that emotional after a couple of months had passed. Now I realize how idiotic I had been. Four months later and I'm still stunned and lacking energy. Olbermann made a similar remark last night, that he couldn't fully relate to someone else's loss of a parent until now, after his mom died.

29. I just finally caught up with the video tonite.
Beautiful tribute, true to his character. Keith Olbermann is a class act. Always has been, always will be. Marie Olbermann had the wonderful joy of knowing she raised her son well.
