O.J. Simpson's Sister Dies in Local Hospital

LOS ANGELES (AP) - A family friend said O.J. Simpson's sister, Carmelita Durio, has died in a Sacramento hospital.

Tom Scotto told The Associated Press in a phone interview that he did not know the exact cause of death, but said that her kidneys had failed in recent days. He said he believes she was in her early 60s.

Durio collapsed in a Las Vegas courtroom in October when Simpson was convicted of robbery and kidnapping.

Scotto said Durio has not been well since that trial. Scotto said he did not know whether Simpson had been notified of the death yet. Simpson is in a Nevada state prison at Lovelock, Nev., serving a sentence of nine to 33 years in prison.

In this particular case, I don't think OJ did it :)

2. Well in a way he did
If his sister had not been well since his conviction it may have made her die sooner. I'm glad though that OJ is in jail. He deserves to be there for the rest of his life.

5. This is how his real punishment begins
He was locked away, unable to say goodbye to or make peace with his sister, whichever was appropriate to their situation.

It will end when he's out and realizes nobody remembers who he used to be and has to start his life over.

9. Ahh, there are a few still out there.... I was curious...
I wonder if Bush* supporters will be so dedicated and adamant over the next decades.

No insult intended. I have always been fascinated at those who are able to sustain (unpopular) beliefs....
