2010 Pentagon Budget Released: includes funds for ENFORCEMENT of "Don't ask, don't tell"
...Our Pentagon sources have also told us that funds have been set-aside in this budget for enforcement of Don’t Ask-Don’t Tell and no efforts at requesting its repeal will be made in FY 2010 by the Pentagon.

Over 12,000 service members have been booted from the military since Don’t Ask-Don’t Tell took effect, including dozens of Arabic speakers whose skills are particularly prized in military intelligence circles.

In January, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs when asked if the new administration going to get rid of the “Don’t Ask-Don’t Tell policy” … looked into the camera and unequivocally said… “You don’t hear a politician give a one-word answer much. But it’s, ‘Yes.’”

Since Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said that, 11 more people have been kicked out of the military because of Don’t Ask-Don’t Tell… people that included military intelligence specialists and Special Forces troops.

and hear over and over again that we are ungrateful bastards.

5. Cue the bots: "Everyone wants their pony." "He's only had X months." "The administration has more
pressing issues to deal with."

Blah blah blah.

Just more of the same.

8. There must be a list of 10 things that liberals really care about
that someone with a brain could track to make sure weren't moving in the effin' opposite direction. This is one of them. BIG FAT FAIL.

10. This is such fucking Bullshit, Congress needs to act soon on this...
We need to pressure the House to pass the Military Readiness Enhancement Act, and the Senate needs to pass an equivalent bill, if Obama is so fucking chickenshit to do anything, then Congress should force his hand.

13. I think its obvious that Obama isn't a leader when it comes to GLBT rights, he's a follower...
at best, I mean, even his stance on DADT during the election wasn't that brave, considering that 3 out of 4 Americans, or thereabouts, support the repeal of it. He seems to support things that will help him win elections, obviously, considering that he supported Same-Sex marriage before he was against it.

He's going to have to be dragged, kicking and screaming, to the side of Civil Rights, and we need to pull on him even harder.

15. If Obama dumped Gates, or even told Gates that it was the top priority, it would go to Congress.

16. Congress is quite capable of passing this law. It doesn't need an ok from the DoD to send a bill to
the President.

It may be unwilling to do so, however. There are many Democrats who are from Republican-leaning districts who would probably like to avoid this issue.
