Bush: "I appreciate that soldiers have got a Mac"

http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1605252,00.html

<snip>

Bush first toured a typical — but empty — patient room in Abrams Hall, where soldiers were transferred after they were vacated from the facility's Building 18, where moldy walls, rodent infestation and other problems went unchecked until reported by the media. The room Bush saw featured a wide-screen television and a Macintosh computer on a desk.

"I appreciate that soldiers have got a Mac" to communicate with their families, the president said.

3. Bush is so out of touch with today's world.
He cannot possibly be living on the same planet as the rest of us.

From the white plantation high up on the hill, the Bush Crime Family™ can look down upon all the little workers below.

Yes indeed, things look pretty good from up there on Miss Barbara's veranda. Although they do worry that the people get too close sometimes. Miss Barbara tells the security detail to be sure to kill anyone who gets too close. Can't have that now, can we?

After all, the little people really do have it pretty good, don't they? The Bush Crime Family™ is being generous by allowing most of them to live.

4. Now all they need is an outlet and an internet connection
And that computer might do them some good. Until then, though, it's just a pretty paperweight.

9. The irony of Mac is that :

It seems if one types in the word “Democracy” into Mac OS X’s built-in Dictionary widget, and then switches over to the thesaurus, you are given the following above usage of the word.
I just checked it on my powerbook and that is what it says:

“A democracy in Iraq is quite unlikely for now or any time soon”
