I'm watching it now via Comcast's free movies-on-demand. There's a scene in which they go to an upscale California restaurant, pour tap water into fancy bottles, name it l'eau du robinet (tap water in French) and serve it to the customers at $7 a bottle. ALL of the customers insist it was the best water they've ever tasted - far superior to tap water.
It just proves how gullible and brainwashed people are. Particularly those stricken with affluenza.

:dunce:

1. That was a great documentary. I've seen it this year.

... /- freeonlinedocumentaries.com

It's one of those that tends to make good hearted people angry, though.

2. Best not to tell all those people buying water in a bottle.
My children rolls their eyes when I get on the water stuff. I got after my dau. this year as a bottle water place is trying to buy up the underground water in places like Kennebunk Maine. Since she lives in the town I think she should be interested in this but she does not get it yet. And when her town runs out of water? Or when a corp. can match in and take over the rights above the water? Just what are these people thinking? Is there a slow down now with the people out of work I wonder? Have there been any more lawyers on the cases about water in these international trade deals we have signed off on? I am a little mad about this subject.

3. Thanks for the rec. I put it in my Netflix queue.
I saw "The Corporation" where they had a segment about the Bolivia water crisis. "The people, united, will not be defeated." That's what the people chanted in the streets when they protested their outrageous water laws.

I live in Colorado where water law states that you can only use water you paid for once. We are not allowed to collect grey water & re-use it. We are also not allowed to collect rain/snow run off. And here we are in a semi-arid region, yet we plant acres & acres of grass, mostly in business parks where the grass is never used. It is criminal how many business parks water during the hot afternoon, & also how many broken sprinkler heads you pass, spurting water onto the sidewalk. :grr:

That's funny about the tap water in French experiment. When I think of all those plastic bottles it makes my head explode.
