1. Fantastic! Not only well done but the spontaneity of the
onlookers was great. I saw many jump right in. How nice to be so happy. Wish that sort of thing would happen here!

Well, I suppose you'd have to have a permit, be checked by security and all the rest of that bull.

There is little fun like this anymore, I wish I had been there.

3. Mari I seldom click on blind links, but I trust you..THANK YOU FOR THAT!
I don't know why, but it made me cry...thinking some people do things just for the simple reason of entertaining others...that is great. Like the 'statues' in Grand Central

7. I loved watching the commuters' faces...
They had that distracted, slightly stressed look...and then slowly, their eyes light up and they smile.
Lovely and human. (And The Sound of Music may very well be my least favorite musical!)

10. WOW
I LOVE this sort of stuff. What a great thing to do!

I think I've mentioned this on DU before, but my friends and I did something a little like that in London. We were walking down a long corridor in the Tube. There were buskers up ahead, around a curve--we couldn't see them, but we could hear their really great rockabilly-type song. The music was so infectious that as we walked, we started dancing. I mean REALLY dancing--all over the corridor. When we came around the bend and the buskers saw 10 American kids dancing wildly to their music, they were so shocked they lost their beat! But they recovered and kept playing, so we danced and dropped some money in their guitar cases, and we danced on down the corridor. That was one of my favorite memories of my entire month in London. I wonder if the musicians remember us... :)

IMO we need more happy craziness in the world...

a train when the Yale Men's Chorus quickly assembled on the Lex Ave side steps overlooking the main area and started singing Christmas carols. They had been in NYC to perform and were awaiting their train back to New Haven.

It was one of my lovliest memories...

24. Promotion for a tv show in Belgium
Thank you for posting this! It is just wonderful and make the theater geek in me cry. :loveya:

This happened on March 23 to promote the premiere of the show on March 25 on Belgium VTM. It is a reality talent competition to search for a performer to play Maria in a revival of the Sound of Music.
