Check out the religious right's pretty hate machine y'all.
The "National Organization for Marriage" is responding to the amazing marriage equality victories in Iowa and Vermont with this national TV ad filled with fear about a same-sex marriage "storm" gathering across the country.

This disturbing ad -- airing across the country and 8 times a day in California -- uses actors to push lies claiming that marriage equalty threatens personal freedoms.

We need your help to fight back right now against this deplorable ad. With many legal experts expecting the California Supreme Court to uphold Prop 8, our only option will be to place an initiative on the ballot to restore marriage equality. To win, we will need to build a grassroots army for change in every county of California.

In response, the Dolby Family is challenging our community to raise $25,000 as a matching challenge to fund Camp Courage trainings for marriage equality activists.

Can you help us respond to these lies and distortions by turning fear into hope? Help us meet this generous $25,000 matching grant from the Dolby Family so we can expand our Camp Courage grassroots training events across California:

1. There was a "Hardball" segment on that tonight.
That same organization was represented by the very loathsome Maggie Gallagher. Mike Barnicle (subbing) was quite sensibly incredulous at the notion that gay marriage might threaten his marriage.

4. It's a cliche that religious conservatives are that way.....
(i.e. bitter, censorious, condemnatory, etc.) because they could never get dates, but that really appears credible in Gallagher's case. She is nasty as a buzzard's gizzard.

3. UN-effing believable how ignorant these hatemongers are (or how ignorant they pretend to be)
as a pretense for their hate.
