Taxes are due in one week!
I decided to finally do them tonight. Except I cannot find my W-2. I thought, oh well, I'll just look at the last check stub of the year. Then I find out I have all my check stubs going back into 2007 except I'm missing the one for the last week of December.

I'm a college student that got money back the last two years, so I'm probably not at risk of paying interest on that tax extension I'm going to be filing for as well as asking for a copy of my W-2.

I guess I'm going to stay away from the lottery for a while. Go me!

:banghead:

3. But the good news (at least for me)
is that all the long days and weekends are finally over for this year. Becoming a tax accountant was not the best decision, especially at this time of year.

5. I wish they would make the tax forms easier
like 2 columns one for income/gains and one for losses/credits. You add each of the 2 columns together and then find the difference. If you are poor you get a rebate and if you are very rich you are taxed very heavily.

6. Even better would be to get rid of all the deductions and let the IRS do all the calculations.

7. I did mine a couple of weeks ago
and mailed them out on April Fool's Day. It seemed appropriate.

It's the first time I've been able to see well enough to do them myself.
