LOTHIAN: Did he bow or didn't he?

GIBBS: No. But I think this meeting was like a week ago, right?

LOTHIAN: That's right but this is something a lot of people are talking about today.
Story continues below

GIBBS: I can only imagine it is of great cause and concern for many people struggling with the economy.

At that point, the conversation ended, the other reporters offered their subtle "ohhhs," and the Lothian was left shaking his head.

7. And besides giving able answers,....
Gibbs simulataneously does it in a boring way -- and oddly enough I consider that a good thing for a press secretary, as the absence of pyrotechnics makes it harder for the opposition to get much traction if they replay a presser.

3. He got lucky
that nobody took him up on his offer to discuss the economy, and the serial lies of Geithner, Summers, and Bernanke.

5. Luck is the residue of design.
By design, CorpMedia won't ask tough questions against corporate interests. They WILL ask "fake tough" questions like the Saudi bow "controversy."

4. I don't understand the problem here. Isn't this the same guy Bush kissed
and fell all over? If it's the scene I recall, Obama bent down to look the Saudi in the eye when he spoke to him. He always looks people in the eye...which, I realize, Repugs aren't accustomed to. Generally, those who look others in the eye when speaking to them are telling the truth. I know they aren't accustomed to that, but the Democrats are and don't find anything out of place when this is done.

Is there anything Obama can do that the Repugs agree with, or are they still "No'g" their way thru the day?

Sheesh!
