Beck on Left Wing re tea parties:
"They Don’t Get It."

I think they are the ones who don't get it. These chuckle heads use the term "teabaggers", and don't seem to understand the reaction it brings. Yeah, we're laughing.

Whatsa matter, no chapter on teabagging in their abstinence only handbook?

2. He's right, I don't get it.
How a group of people can be so clueless on so many levels, I'll never get. Forget the sex reference, and you still have an idiotic farce of a movement. The original Tea Party was about taxation without representation. The Sons of Liberty weren't whining about money, they were complaining about England taking their taxes, spending them in England, and giving the colonists no say in how the money was spent.

We had an election. Obama won. The Democrats won the House and the Senate. The people spoke. We have representation. The Sons of Liberty would not be on the side of Glen Beck and his morons.

And does everyone understand why the Sons of Liberty dressed as Native Americans when they dumped the tea? It wasn't to disguise themselves, as some history books claim. It was because in America and in Britain the American "Indian" was a symbol of egalitarianism, freedom, and democracy. They had no kings, they had no royalty, they had no aristocracy, and in many tribes, including the confederacy of the Iriquois Nation, they had something close to Democracy. They were Rousseau's model for the Noble Savage who lived without aristocratic government, and were part of the model for John Locke's ideas of good government. The attire wasn't a disguise, it was a symbol of democracy and government without aristocracy. That was the real protest--monarchy, not taxes.

These asshats insult our Founders and our nation's heritage as well as themselves with their contrived protests. And the sex stuff is impossible not to laugh at, too. They're like a Monty Python sketch in their complete cluelessness.

4. What's not to get?...........
The "tea parties" are nothing more than a bunch of bitter, hate filled, selfish, mean spirited, ignorant, stupid people protesting about taxes they won't have to pay. It's just a waste of time, nothing good will come of it and when the tea parties are over nothing will have been accomplished or changed. Obama will still be president and those few idiots who actually attended one of the tea parties will just go back home and listen to Rush, watch Hannity and Glenn Beck spew their right wing nonsense and everything will go on as usual.

We on the left "get it" all too well.
