(Michele) Bachmann says green jobs are jobs lost
Edited on Fri Apr-10-09 09:28 AM by MnFats

as always she does us proud.....or makes us hide in shame that this aggressively ignorant hack represents some of us...

When it comes to energy issues, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann said she wants voters to be "armed and dangerous."

"I believe that cap and trade is an energy tax that has the potential for crippling our manufacturing sector and our economy," Bachmann said.

Bachmann is taking direct aim at President Obama's plan to limit greenhouse gas pollution from power plants and businesses.

She's sponsoring forums. The one at St. Cloud State University featured conservative lawyer Chris Horner. He disputes the existence of global warming.

1. Uh, Ms Bachman, our economy is already crippled
and we really don't have a manufacturing sector.

10. Well, a couple solar panel plants in the US are said to close (links elsewhere on DU)
Otherwise she's a nut. Regulations are NOT contributing to the demise of our manufacturing or economy.

Incidentally, she's a republican. They all say overpriced manufacturing employees are what is crippling the economy. (I thought consumer SPENDING was about the economy, in which case decent paying jobs seem to be a prerequisite...)
