Howard Stern calls Rush Limbaugh "crackpot" during Sen. Specter interview
The Howard Stern Show is off on Fridays', & they have the best of the week show that day...Right now, they're replaying Stern's interview with Senator Arlen Specter, & he ripped Rush Limbaugh a new one right in front of him....Specter just laughed, just saying "I don't like to criticize radio hosts"...

Stern is definitely a social liberal who mostly votes for Democratic candiates, but he does like Senator Specter, who is one of the last moderate Republicans left...

1. He's voted for every Democratic president since 92.
And he's very pro-gay, pro-marriage equality, and pro-choice.

2. Stern's dad was on the air with him
earlier this week complaing that Rush is an idiot and is a tax cheat by moving out of NYC.

In addition he aid the good news is that the NY food supply will increase once he is gone.

3. About time Howard Stern says something worthwhile...
Usually he's discussing topics that require a 40 I.Q., no?

6. Of course, he has his base, BASE audience that he has to keep...
...but Howard's been pretty consistent lately espousing liberal and progressive causes, although I think that's because he's actually a libertarian from NYC.;)

12. Well, as long as his base is base, I'm no fan of his. nt

14. I had to listen to his show in the mornings while carpooling...
I had to listen to his show in the mornings while carpooling. I think my IQ dropped 3 points every time he opened his mouth-- which of course puts my IQ into the negative range nowadays, thank you very much. A lot of the kids where I work think the guy hung the moon, but for me, he's just another boorish, opinionated radio talk show host (of which, we have far too many already), but maybe bathroom humor is the "in-thing" these days for adults too...

Regardless, I began to understand why civility and manners are not very popular anymore after realizing the substance of his show was simply to entertain the lowest-common denominator.

15. Sex hormones raging are the reason young male teens idolize Stern
I'm not a young male teen with sex hormones raging through the sky, and you know, I'd like a little intellect in whatever I listen to, and hey, throw in I.Q. points also please.

18. Sheesh, then there's nothing I have to like about him!!
I hate his low-class, low I.Q. sex talk, I find him unintellectual to the max, and to top it all off, he's a libertarian, and I have less in common with them than I do with Repukes.

7. Howard really is a good interviewer
Sure, some don't like the hi-jinks of the show w/the sex questions, the crank phone calls, etc. but he really is a good interviewer, he doesn't kiss ass & he'll ask tough questions, whether the person is a politican or a celebrity....

11. There are lots of good interviewers, but the low I.Q. sex aspect of the show makes Stern (for me)...
unviewable, and incredibly dumb. It takes all the effort I can muster to tolerate him even for 30 seconds.

13. Howard is better than 95% of most interviewers
did you listen to him for 2 minutes & say "this sucks", lol...You should hear sports talk show host Jim Rome, now THAT'S a dumb show.....

Howard Stern is the only radio personality I'll listen to...If it's not Sirius 101 (Howard's station), then it's music.....

16. I tried to watch his show, I swear to you I did...
Every time I watched it, my mind flatlined. I was forced to switch the station as an emergency measure.

17. Okay, here's how it works.....
If I have to dig through sex talk for 90 minutes, in order to find 1 minute of what I find in some rather brilliant, liberal talk show hosts found anywhere (for example, Thom Hartmann), I'd rather spend that time doing something more fun.

Here's something else, if someone is into the degrading sex bs, it's not even quality degrading sex bs. Why not go to the source and visit a porn shop, go to a sex show, etc.? Why go to some half-assed sex talking idiot whose only claim to fame is lame sex talk?

As I said, it's young male teen stuff. It's the kind of thing that makes 14 year olds' pimples thrive. NOT my cup of tea.

8. He was a big Guiliani supporter
Rudy came to all his birthday parties. Stern credits Rudy with cleaning up New York. I also think he's more of a libertarian.
