Cheney planning to skip Bush administration reunion next week.

The New York Times reports that roughly 20 Bush administration all-stars — including Condoleezza Rice, Karen Hughes, and Dan Bartlett — are getting together next week for their first Bush administration reunion. “On tap is a dinner with the former president” and a brainstorming session :rofl:for the George W. Bush Policy Institute. The man who largely crafted Bush’s presidency, however, will not be at the party:

Not coming to next week’s session is former Vice President Dick Cheney, who in the final days of the administration argued with Mr. Bush about his failure to pardon Mr. Cheney’s former chief of staff, I. Lewis Libby Jr., who was convicted of perjury and other counts for his role in the leak of Valerie Wilson’s employment with the Central Intelligence Agency.

Cheney also broke with the President on a same-sex marriage ban, firing Donald Rumsfeld, overturning Washington DC’s gun ban, and removing North Korea from the list of state sponsors of terror.

16. "Reunion" is a euphemism for "Desperate Effort to Invent Ways To Raise Money
for a GWB Library That Nobody Wants (and therefore nobody is donating money to)."

That's my two cents. As usual, * is out of his depth, and he needs help from his co-conspirators to find ways to raise funds for his "legacy" -- as though the plummeting Wall Street numbers and rising death toll numbers in the Middle East aren't destined to be his legacy for all time.

12. They're having a reunion five months after being kicked out of office
They're having a reunion when their own party didn't want either Bush or Cheney near the Rushican Convention.
These criminals are bat shit crazy.
Cheney's pissed that Scooter wasn't pardoned.
I'm pissed that the entire gang isn't wishing for a pardon from prison.

19. Wonder how much this "reunion" has to do with chimp's mental state
that The Globe reported?? Is this Condi's solution?? Get all of his former minions together so they can make chimpass feel better? They put on a big act for him so he feels like he still matters? Seems like the only reason to have a "reunion" just after 3 MONTHS??
He seems to have been in seclusion of late because there have been NO more reports of him making any public appearances here locally (except the Ranger game appearance)..unlike back in February when he made the rounds of elementary school, hardware store photo op, out to dinner one night "with friends". Every few says the local rag had news about his little outings.
Betcha we read soon "Condi's desperate attempt to save George Bush from a spiraling depression".

29. Bush Administration Reunion Next Week
Dick Cheney To Skip Bush Administration Reunion Next Week

Not coming to next week's session is former Vice President Dick Cheney, who in the final days of the administration argued with Mr. Bush about his failure to pardon Mr. Cheney's former chief of staff, I. Lewis Libby Jr., who was convicted of perjury and other counts for his role in the leak of Valerie Wilson's employment with the Central Intelligence Agency. Mr. Cheney later went on television to air his grievances with Mr. Bush, while also accusing Mr. Obama of endangering the country.

Cheney now thinks the man who made him President should not be honored with his presents. Rove that also should be in jail will be a speaker, you can bet on that, praising his old boss. Fox News will put up a banner of praise to the man that headed the country into the deepest hole sense the great depression. Beyond me that the Media preachers still have followers, never could comprehend how greed seams matter more then reality.
