People getting all incited over tax cuts. No one and I mean NO ONE has had any increases in their taxes since Obama was elected and yet ninety five percent have had tax cuts that have already shown up on paychecks beginning April 1st. Only Fox loving Republican could get all worked up over tax cuts they are enjoying. and the most humorous part is the MSM is giving them all the rope they need. At least that is what I believe since none have mentioned the obvious, there are no tax increases to be worked up over, only tax cuts...

2. my honest question to the teabaggers is "where was this rage when shrub was screwing you"?
they've yet to give me an answer.

Pitiful, weak minded lemmings to think that NOW is the time to be screaming about something. How many of these same damned teabaggers just saw a payroll TAX CUT thanks to the guy they call the antichrist?

6. The thing that pisses me off, is that this is not a popular movement. It's completely manufactured
by the RNC and the thugs who issue the talking points and marching orders for that gang. There was no grass-roots popular movement here, as there was with the worldwide opposition to the Iraq invasion. This is sponsored by the RNC, advertised and promoted by the MSM, and simply followed by the sheep who will attend, who wouldn't understand these issues if you broke them down into small words and painted pretty pictures to go along with the explanations.

So they had no outrage under Bush because their money masters didn't tell them to be outraged, and they don't know how to think on their own.

I'm more amused than upset by this whole thing, though. I'm wondering if people are going to turn out for these things. I'm sure FOX will pretend they have, and I'm sure the RNC and local Republican officials will get all their staffers and volunteers out to make it look like someone was interested, but I wonder how many real people will be involved. I asked all my conservative buddies at work, and none of them even really knew about it. They'd all heard something, but it was clear none of them were following it enough to care. One guy told me this sounds more like something the liberals would do (protesting, he meant), and told me the organizers were idiots because of the whole "teabagging" thing. And one of the most conservative, most religious of the bunch told me he was furious that they weren't giving Obama more time. The guy actually likes Obama and thinks he's honestly trying to do the right things. That one threw me for a loop.

So I'll be interested in seeing if anyone really shows up.

3. They are more worked up over the spending increases than taxes.
They are arguing that Obama's stimulus and bailout bills are giving away too much tax money, not that he's collecting too much.

Their stupidity is stunning, though. After 8 years of Bush flushing money down the toilet with both fists as fast as the bowl could refill, they wait until Obama takes office to realize the obvious point that deficit spending today equals tax increases tomorrow. More than that, Obama is at least spending, mostly, on investments that will yield dividends, whereas Bush wasted all of it on wars and boondoggles and tax cuts to people who wouldn't use them on our economy.

Yeah, they are stupid. After eight years of Bush, Cheney, Rove, and that bunch, I'm not sure I can say it's THE dumbest thing I've ever heard, but it's still in the running, and that says a lot about them.

4. Its never about 'tax cuts', just tax cuts for the wealthy
Edited on Sat Apr-11-09 10:03 AM by Juche
These people are morons. They are not smart enough to understand that the people who really run and fund these tea parties are wealthy businesses and individuals upset that Obama is raising their taxes (capital gains, dividend, federal income, etc). Obama has called for about $5 trillion in revenue via elimination of tax cuts and subsidies while imposing higher taxes on corporations and wealthy individuals over the next decade. That is what the tax cut crap is about. Corporations and the wealthy know they are looking at trillions in higher taxes so they prey on the bigotry and ignorance of the tea baggers to give a phony sense of populism to their outrage.

The tea baggers just aren't smart enough to realize what pawns for the wealthy that they are. Obama is cutting their taxes if anything.

5. Butt, butt, butt...
it's the DEFICITS, doncha know! Ever since repukes started peddling the 'Dracula story' of $20 trillion deficits over the next ten years, that's been their casus belli instead of taxes. BTW, if any of you intrepid DUers are so inclined, here's a link to the wingnut who's organizing the teabagging event in my fair city:

I would appreciate any & all input to undermine her assertion that this is a 'nonpartisan' event in any way, shape or form. Thanks!
