Anti–Gay-Marriage Ad Sparks YouTube Revolt
The audition videos, uncovered by the Human Rights Campaign, seem too good to be true. But NOM has helpfully authenticated them by sending DMCA notices to YouTube to get them pulled down. Vimeo.com hosted the banned videos for a while, but now also appears to have folded like an umbrella.

So internet rebels are reportedly saving the videos with keepvid.com, and then uploading them back to YouTube when they're pulled. Washington City Paper is keeping up with the YouTube roulette.

1. This is soooo sad...
I just realized my 6th grade teacher is in the ad and in the first outtake video right around 4:50.

2. Is your 6th grade teacher a paid actor?
Everyone else in the video is.

3. as bad as those people were
the operative word would be attempting to be paid for acting as opposed to paid actors. I could easily see them having to have other gigs.

4. No my 6th grade teacher is not a paid actor...
But she still teaches at the school and that school is going to be receiving a lovely email asking them why they support teachers who are bigots...

9. So I have a proposition...
Would this make me an asshole?...

I now have complete confirmation that my 6th grade teacher and her husband (who is a journalism teacher at a local highschool and a columnist for the Arizona Republic) are in that anti-gay marriage ad.

I am considering distributing this to a few pro-gay marriage groups in my area so that they can put some pressure on the schools and the AZ republic to do something about this.

Is this going to far?

5. Poor babies.
Everyone can say ____ infringes on my life. From one side about the other, vice-versa, and on scores of other issues.

The ad, which the wired site claims is 'funny', is pretty sad.

8. That's great! I'd seen the first clip of auditions, but not the second.
I love that people are saving them and reposting them as soon as they are pulled.
