2. Less.
I gave up on Catholicism at about age seventeen. Never understood why Jesus needs all that money.

17. It wasn't Jesus. Paul was the money grubber and the popes selling indulgences.

Jesus is the product they are selling.

3. More spiritual
and "religious" to the extent that I do my daily prayers and practices--but they are designed to bring me closer to realization of truth rather than to satisfy any dogma. But then my Order isn't big on dogma.

6. I was saying the same thing, and then I had a power flicker.
You know, the great Power Grid.. Never fails to just black out for no real reason at all. I'd say I'm more spiritual, however, my sister is more religious.

4. Way less.
As in, virtually not at all.
Got dragged to church weekly until I left for college where I became a practicing heathen.

and never forced it upon me. She does believe in god and prayer though. More or less the christian god, with a little eastern philosophy thrown in the mix.

Edited to add my vote choice.

8. My 3 siblings are more religious
One is Mormon, one is Baptist, and one is Buddhist.

I'm not religious at all, but I don't think a DU poll on religion is any reflection on society at all.

9. Do you mean religious or observant?
People have many different interpretations of what being religious is: observing the rituals of the religion; adhering to the moral teachings of the religion; partaking of the spiritual side of the religion, etc. These can be mutually exclusive. Some people who call themselves religious may go to church but cheat in their business. People who adhere to strict moral tenets may never go to church.

So you need to define religious.

10. I'm agnostic.
My father probably didn't give the whole thing any thought.

My mother was a believing Christian, but seldom attended services.

So somewhere in between.

12. Less religious than my mom or dad - I went to a religious school,
K-12, don't believe a word of it, have no use or respect for it.

I do, however respecr your right to believein any religion, no matter how ridiculous.

13. More... but
not by much, neither of my parents were even slightly religious. Me, I got basic respect for religion, even if I don't actually follow one.

15. Less tied to sacrement, ritual, and dogma but equal to or moreso in faith and belief in a way of
being and what that means to myself as an individual.

I despise religion more than any atheist but I don't think we're always talking about the same thing. So, you really ask a question I find hard to vote within the options on.

19. I come from very religious parents.
My father was a priest and my mother was a nun.

:spank: :wow:  :wow: :spank:

Just joking.

But really, my parents were fundamentalist Baptists, and I'm an atheist.
