The CiC is supposed to give broad directives on what to do — basically the Rules of Engagement.

If this report is true, the TOTUS reader was attempting to micromanage a situation he didn’t understand (probably because he was unable to understand it).

The reality is more likely that he had nothing to do with it, since his handlers didn’t know what to do. Once it came out OK, he just is rushing in to take credit.

Hmmm... why do I doubt this? Maybe due to his UN controlling authority... Oh well, I really doubt that he gave authority to the Navy to end this... He just lucked out in this case.

I really don’t understand why any special permission is needed. Does a SWAT Team wait for any authorization in a hostage crisis? The people on the ground (er, water) have to have discretion to do what is needed.

Oh, I heard it may have been as many times as 6 or 7 times... why, the only reason he didn't lead the operation himself was that the Secret Service wouldn't let him!

Oh well, he's just not appreciated around here, I guess. Maybe someone could put up a big 'MISSION ACCOMPLISHED' sign on the White House lawn... maybe photoshop his face on some picture of a Navy Seal or sumpin'....

2. Oh, the horror of a successful military operation under the
command of President Obama. I'm sure they are all hoping that things get worse in Iraq and Afghanistan too.

5. They were hoping for a Jimmy Carter type rescue disaster for Obama
For you young-uns. Americans were held hostage in Iran for more than a year. During Carter's term a surprise rescue operation was launched that failed....quite publicly.

6. I must ask:
Why do these people hate America?
They are pissed that this had a successful outcome - they wanted the rescue operation to fail. And if it had failed they would have laid the entire blame at Obama's feet. It kills them to have to give him credit so they won't, but they look like assholes in the process.

9. And this coming for them on the heels of the military "wildly cheering" Obama in Iraq:)
I think we may be on the verge of running out of exploding heads and moving on to other body parts, lol.

Seriously, all of these events taken together and in the long run, are seriously debilitating to these people and a direct frontal challenge to their beliefs regarding Obama. They will never be the same again, mentally, by the end of his presidency if this keeps up. Yeah!!

11. "Does a SWAT Team wait for any authorization in a hostage crisis" - Um, YES you moron!

Or does this guy think SWAT teams just go busting into what are always extremely delicate situations (hence why there are hostage negotiators) without getting an OK? Really?
