1. I wouldn't actually call dealing with a ragtag criminal outfit a true

but these guys are no were near Bin Laden and Saddam. I don't believe the were ever trained or funded by us. That is like saying a group of bank robbers are on par with geo-political actors.

5. If Somalia had resources (oil) that we wanted there are a hell of a lot of

people out there that would have used this as an excuse to be VERY aggressive. Seems to me it was handled with effective finesse.

Bush has so tainted the phrase "mission accomplished" that I never want to see it again even if it is in association with Obama and Obama actually has succeeded - it just reminds me of Bush.
