Joe Scum is one angry sick fuck...
and I don't like placement of profanity in subject lines, but he has crossed the line AGAIN.

Today, Mika was saying that loss of life of the pirates was regrettable, much in the same way that Jewish tradition states that the diminishing of wine cups at Pesach to acknowledge the loss of life of even our sworn enemies, for any loss is tragic.

Joe Scum has relentlessly been saying that she loves the Terrorists and that she hates America, and will not stop. His sneering shit-eating attitude is just reprehensible. I for one was pleased to see the resolution of this situation in likely the only way possible, BUT to happily rejoice in death is not Christian, not humanistic, and amoral.

It is time to stop watching this asshole and to tell MSNBC that he has gone too far.

1. He is jerk and so is she - I turned on the teevee this morning....
...and heard their voices and couldn't get it off fast enough - I'm watching tennis now.

2. I can't watch the rightwing talk hosts, or listen on the radio, etc. In Joe's
case I wonder if the network people said to him, "Hey, Joe, look -- your longevity on the tube is tied to the kook quotient. Beck's ratings are high correspondent to how unstable and dangerous he is. Crank up the kook quotient and you should be around for a long time."

3. I heard it, heard them laughing (the males) and turned him off. I can't
remember when I was able to listen to morning cable for more than fifteen minutes. She was really annoyed and the men did seem to "gang up" on her a little. Joe is scum, Willy needs a time-out and Pat is insufferable...

4. Pat is an anti-Semitic, Holocaust-denying,
homophobic, racist motherfucker of the first order.

"Insufferable" is way down on my personal list!

:hi:

5. The fact that he insists on calling them "terrorists", in order to conflate
these pirates with Al Queda, is right out of a BushCo. playbook. His is past disgusting today.

7. They *are* terrorists.
What's wrong with calling them what they are?

12. Between robbers and 'terrorists?'
Not intent on wreaking widespread terror or distruction; intent on ROBBING.

13. the pirates are holding people and their goods for ransom. so far, as far as i know,
no one has died. i could be wrong on that, but i hadn't heard anything about them killing anyone. terrorists terrorize and would have killed and sank the ships. a terrorist is trying to instill fear and cause people to change their behavior as a result. the pirates are only trying to get money. terrorizing anyone is not their goal beyond getting money out of people.

11. I never got into the habit of watching them
Early morning is for local news and weather here. There's never much of what most people would call news, but they do some makeovers, update the local calendar, and at least I know if it's going to rain. All in all, it's 1000% more informative and better accompaniment for my morning coffee than Morning Joe.

15. Joe does have some good guests, tho. I can only take so much of
local "cat up a tree" stories and local anchor "happy talk." It gets on my nerves. I can use about 15 minutes of GMA but when they start interviewing Marie Osmond, it's time to go online and see who's doing what on DU...

18. Well, you do make a good point there, especially for city news
Our local news is from a town so small, Marie Osmond is a get far beyond their highest aspirations. A fitness segment with the incredibly out of shape looking guy who cleans the locker rooms at the high school is more typical.

20. My husband can't stand MJ and insists on local stuff from 6 to 7.
I make fun of the fluff stories they have locally and make snarky remarks about the anchor's hair and clothing.

19. I know what you mean...
The "Toady Show" announced that they were going to have the Duggars on to "announce some good news". Click. You know, I would rather hear Scarborough and his crew spew their crap than have to watch Mutt and Meridith fawning over the latest spawn that is about to pop out of Mrs. Duggar's clown car vagina. Ick.

24. Did you catch their fantasyland what-if question?
"What would have been the public reaction IF Obama had waited to give the order?"

They can't deal with the reality so they just made stuff up.

The consensus still was that people would have accepted it. They just can't give him credit for anything.

25. Simple Teevee For Simple Minds...
Wanna bet the word Somali pirates will vanish from our corporate airwaves in the next few days as they fixate on yet another "outrage". This flavor of the moment is about to run out and time to wrap it up in a pretty bow and move on.

I'm very proud of the actions of those who rescued the captain and brought this incident to an end. Kudos to our President who let those who know what to do, do it and things worked out. While others may feel some regret for the pirates, I don't. They are predators and were beaten at their own game. The plight of the Somali people...or more specific, the tribes that inhabit the area known as Somalia is another issue that just distorts from the motives of those who attacked...to extort money and violate international laws.

This is ont the last I suspect we'll see of this matter as no sooner are the cameras turned somehwere else than there will be more abductions...it's been going on in that region for years and there are sure to be companies that will continue to pay the extortion as part of doing business. We may even see some retribution...and we'll have to address those actions as they occur, but this is a dangerous world...the US can't control it or play world policeman and the sooner we look at the world as a part of it, not from above, the sooner we'll truly be able to better deal with these situations.
