Excuses, Excuses
Each dowser goes away from any trial of their powers, dismayed by their failure, puzzled at the reasons for the failure, but always capable of coming up with a reasonable to them excuse. That excuse may be any one of many. It may be an unfortunate arrangement of the planets, improper temperature or humidity, a problem of indigestion, too much ambient noise or too much silence or a poor attitude on the part of the observers. These are not invented excuses; they are all drawn from my personal experience in testing these folks.

I must say that of all those who have ever tried to win the Pigasus Prize, and of those who I have otherwise tested in every part of the world, no claimants even approach the dowsers for honesty. These are persons who are genuinely, thoroughly, self-deceived. In only two instances one in Australia and the other in the U.K. did I ever encounter any cheating being tried by dowsers. And those cases were easily solved and immediately terminated.

I ask all those who wish to claim the prize based upon their dowsing skills to first try a double-blind test of their abilities. We at the JREF can advise you how to design such a test protocol. You will find, I assure you, that the description above of the ideomotor effect will be proven valid. And I know full well that you, as a dowser, will refuse this advice and believe that, for you, such a procedure is not necessary. I base this conclusion on my many years of handling dowsing claimants.

in 1979 i got my best friend a job where i worked, up in the Sierras at a resort on hwy 108 above Sonora, just past Pinecrest lake, called Strawberry. on the way back up i stopped to see my grand parents
at Riverbank. my mother was there, she went out with us, she looked at his car, a 2 seat Austin... she said.."randy there is something wrong with the front of your car.." he said he was going to fix it the next week when he came back for his stuff. she said if he went up and back, no where else, it would be OK. she said if he hit even a little rock it would flip over and kill him..

just before work Stacy conned him inti an errand.. i told him he's drunk he doesn't need to go and the car is dangerious... you have to be at work, you cant be late... he went anyway and the suspension on the left side collapsed, tire folded under, the car flipped and crushed his head, no roll bar.

there are lots of stories.. i wont bore you with them..

do some impressive things for people free, just to help them.. there is a "Compassion" gene, it seems to be fairly rare.. it runs in our family...i have studded these things from many sources, met lots of good people.. She's SO opinionated, it's hard to imagine her having no views on the current state of affairs.

But instead, there's been silence from her. No LTTEs, no guest appearances on progressive networks or websites, not even any personal news about where she's at or what she's doing.

I can understand some people's loathing of her on-air behavior, but man, when she gets on a roll about something, it's pure power. She can destroy any opponent with facts, figures and quotes that would make a Rhodes Scholar blush (unintentional pun).

It's almost as if she's (gasp) reluctant to speak unless someone's paying her.

i once doused a field where the stakes for 42 brass pvc sprinkler system shut off valves were plowed under..

i located the pipes, they had been static tested and had water in them, they were 3 feet deep spread over 80 arches. i walked the lines i marked for the pipes, made an x for people to dig went on.. they found every valve first time they dug an 2' dia hole. found every valve first hole.

i have found lost car keys lost camping in the woods, rings in gardens etc.. Randi's the fraud.. he rigs the tests he provides to prove it doesn't work.
