The official press release:
Walt Heimermann FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE President, Lakeshore Productions, Inc. Tel. (206) 376-9798 wheimeramann@lakeshoreproductions.com
Lakeshore Productions, Inc. is proud to announce that up-and-coming urban music sensation Chuggo will be providing free entertainment to protestors at this week’s Buffalo Tea Party, scheduled for April 18th at The W Club.
Chuggo, whose birth name is Gary Switling, describes himself as a “free market conservative dedicated to preserving the values of hard work that made this country great.” His philosophy often is reflected in his musical work, such as his populist anthem “The People” and arguably his best-known song, “Ahh! C’mon!” which he describes as “a young man’s lament upon seeing excessive tax withholding in his weekly paycheck.” When performing, Chuggo is never seen without his ubiquitous golden skull staff, which he states symbolizes the sad, impending death of capitalism in America.
Chuggo’s early life in inner-city Toronto was marked with poverty and numerous run-ins with the law. It was not until landing a dishwashing job at the local Olive Garden restaurant that Chuggo learned the value of hard work and dedication. After using his life experiences to further his musical career, Chuggo eventually moved to the United States and became an American citizen after becoming disgusted with the Canadian health care system, which he described as “wickedly socialist.”
Lakeshore Productions, Inc. President and CEO Walt Heimermann said of Chuggo: “Chuggo truly represents the future of conservativism in America and its relevance to the younger generation. While the country-western music community has long trumpeted the values of the right, it’s a refreshing change to see Chuggo bring the ideas of Reagan and Gingrich to the hip-hop and R&B world.”
When asked why he volunteered to entertain participants in the nationwide Tea Party protests, Chuggo said, “It was a no-brainer for me. In some town somewhere across the country, you are going to find the next Samuel Adams. You are going to find the next John Hancock. It’s not just about bringing tea bags to a public event and railing against taxes. It’s about the future of this country, and where you want see it going for the next generation. Do you want to see America, the land of the brave, or do you want to see us return to the days of the Soviet Union? It’s all up to us.”
The Buffalo Tea Party is planned for Saturday, April 18th at The W Club, located at 199 Delaware Avenue. The event is planned to take place between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Chuggo will be performing from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm, and will then be taking part in the march to Niagara Square.
