5. This is getting more play here than in the general public.
The 2 or 3 Repubs in this office that can't help making ridiculous comments 24/7 have not mentioned teabagging. It doesn't appear on the front pages of the Washington Post, NYT, or WSY.

33. How many are actually one of us out there goofing on these idiots
If I wasn't working today I'd probably show up just to mock these idiots; however, I have a day job.

Funny, when we protested the war, the right-wing would make such comments like "You people need to get a job". But our protests were held on Saturdays when most of us weren't working because we're regular folks who work Mon-Fri. Here these idiots schedule a protest in the middle of the day during the work week. I don't know about you, but I don't have the time to take off of work and do a protest to help protect the 1% wealthiest elite of this country.

52. I remember the demonstrations in Porland in 2002 and 2003
The local paper, the Oregonian, actually hired aerial photography done so they could dispute and minimize the numbers of people demonstrating. Of course, they also focused on the outlier signs about peripheral or fringe issues that attach to any demonstration of that size, pretending that everyone was there advocating for PETA or something else besides being against the prospective invasion of Iraq. They also editorialized about the naiveté of the protestors, and how this was all going to work out, and there really, really were dreaded weapons of mass destruction because Colin Powell said so, and on and on.

I will mentally compare and contrast the dismissive coverage taken at that time (and not just by my local paper) with the coverage of these public temper tantrums by whiny ass titty babies who want a functioning society without paying taxes.

54. I remember that, too. I was at one of those Portland protests where they did that.
It pissed me off to no end, the way the Oregonian went out of its way to be dismissive. And then remember they endorsed Bush in '04?

When I lived in Wash. DC, the Washington Post did a very condescending front-page day-after story about the massive pro-choice rally held in '92. They basically said since the crowd (which was about half a million) was predominantly young women, it didn't mean anything because there wasn't a lot of diversity in ages. :wtf:

It stayed in nice and tight the whole time.

Could have been hundreds I guess, but "hundreds" is an extremely small gathering in the context of DC.
